Downloads
This is the official Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+, the PCIe to M.2 HAT compatible with NVMe protocol with Gen2 and Gen3 support.
The Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ establishes connection between M.2 peripherals such as AI accelerators and NVMe drives to the PCIe 2.0 interface of the Raspberry Pi 5. This HAT supports up to 500MB/s data transfer speed between NVMe drives and PCIe accessories.
Boot Raspberry Pi 5 from Solid State Drive
It is a mechanical adapter board compatible with the single-lane PCIe 2.0 interface of the Raspberry Pi 5 that is exposed on the 16-pin 0.5mm pitch FPC connector. This board converts the PCIe 2.0 connector to the subset of the M.2 standard. The Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ supports M.2 M Key Edge connector in the 2242 and 2230 form factors. The board supplies up to 3A to the connected M.2 devices.
Auto-Detection by Raspberry Pi Software/Firmware
The latest Raspberry Pi firmware/software auto-detects the Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+. The HAT comes with the 16mm stacking header, ribbon cable, spacers, screws, and the knurled double-flanged screw. The spacers let you fit the HAT above the Raspberry Pi Active Cooler.
